Outdoor (Indoor) Water Resistant Security Camera with extra high 960 horizontal pixel Sony EXview CCD Image Sensor excellent for Security Surveillance. Automatic Iris Lens copes with high illumination levels, improves depth-of-field and passes maximum possible light in low light and dark conditions.

650 + HTVL-E Resolution for detailed domestic and commercial surveillance, this Security Camera can be easily added to an existing Security Recording system (or replace an under performing Camera), simply connect Video Output from Camera to an unused Security DVR Video input.

Connect to the Composite Video Input (AV, Yellow RCA socket) on a TV or Domestic or commercial Recording Device, if required a Microphone can be easily added and a single small diameter Cable used to carry Video, Audio & Power 20 or more metres.

Better than a Dome separate Lens and LED glasses stops transmission of Infra-Red from Light Emitting Diodes to Lens, this problem is inherent with Domes reducing image contrast.

Powered by Sony's 960H EXview Super HAD II CCD image sensor & EffioE DSP this Security Camera is capable of an extraordinary 650+ HTVL effective resolution, far better than traditional Security Cameras, HTVL Effective Specification.

Video System: PAL Colour fully compatible with composite video inputs on TV, DVR, Monitor, etc., in Australia, NZ, UK, etc.

Lens (Korea quality): Variable focal length IR focus-shift corrected 4 ~ 9 mm Automatic Iris with external Focus & Focal Length adjusters, copes with High levels of illumination, passes more light and provides greater depth-of-field than ordinary fixed Iris Lenses. There are no optional Lenses for this Camera, security camera lens information.

Image Device: 960H ExView HAD CCD II from Sony 1020 (H) x 596 (V) 607 920 Pixels 976 (H) x 582 (V) effective pixels " SONY ICX673AK, 5 µm (H) x 6.25 µm (V) pixel size. *"EXview HAD CCD Ⅱ" is a trademark of Sony Corporation. The "EXview HAD CCD Ⅱ" is a CCD image sensor that realizes sensitivity (typical) of 1000mV or more per 1µm2 (Color: F5.6/ BW: F8 in 1 s accumulation equivalent) and improves light efficiency by including near infrared light region as a basic structure of Sony’s "EXview HAD CCD".

Image Sensor: Active pixels 568 032. Effective resolution 414 720 pixels (based 960x576 DSP output & 0.75 CCD interlace coefficient).

DSP: SONY CXD4127GG Effio-E New-Technology Wide-Bandwidth Digital Signal Processor.

On-Screen-Display Setup: Camera parameters are easily set via push-buttons on Bottom of Camera. EffioE On-Screen-Setup functions important all or some functions described may not necessarily be available with this Camera.

Scanning System: 2 : 1 Interlace, PAL 50 Hz vertical, 15 625 Hz horizontal.

Synchronisation: Internal.

Video Output: 1.14 V p-p Composite Video 75 ohms, suit Australian TV, VCR, AV & Video inputs, BNC socket on ~ 50 cm cable, Second Output for Setup on short plug-in setup-Cable with BNC socket.

Horizontal Pixels: 960 + this value is provided for comparative purposes only. Better than Super-VHS resolution better than DTV / DVD (720 H-pixel) resolution.

650+ HTVL-E Resolution: Whitepapers: HTVL Effective Specification & Camera Resolution Is Limited to 540 HTVL Maximum in CCTV Systems

Sensitivity: ~ 0.5 lux @ F1.2 in Night mode 10 IRE (this value is approximate and provided for comparative purposes only), 0 lux with LEDs 'ON'. Depending on Lens 'focal length' setting the Infrared LEDs illuminate up to ~ 80% of the Width-of-Vision and are effective up to ~ 30 metres depending on the Infrared reflective characteristics of subject.

Light Emitting Diodes: Forty Two Hi-Power ~ 850 nm wavelength Infrared, these produce a dull Red visible glow. Automatic Light Sensor switches LEDs On/Off (~3/5 lux) depending on light level & potentiometer setting.

Movable Infrared Optical Filter:
In Day mode (well lit, colour) mechanism automatically positions IR-CUT optical filter between Lens and Image Sensor to exclude Infrared radiation that would otherwise adversely affect colour reproduction, this ensures colour rendition not possible with ordinary non-filtered or notch-filter type Day/Night cameras.
Movable Infrared Cut Filter Day positionmoreMovable Infrared Cut Filter Night position
In Night mode (low light,
monochrome) mechanism automatically removes IR-CUT optical filter to allow Infrared radiation to pass boosting low light and Infrared sensitivity, the result is significantly better night images using inbuilt Infrared Illuminator or with Infrared rich light sources. Infrared Response without Infrared filter is ~ 700 to ~ 1100 nm better than a 'CCTV notch IR Filter', CCTV Infrared Night Vision information.

Spectral Response: ~ 400 to ~ 1100 nm with Infrared 'CUT' Filter 'out' of optical path.

Automatic Electronic Shutter (AES): Configured via OSD. On (Automatic) 1/50 to 1/100 000 second. Use 20 ms shutter speed to minimise smear, smear increases with increasing Shutter Speed, CCTV Automatic Electronic Shutter information.

Signal to Noise ratio (SNR): 50 +dB, measured with AGC off.

Automatic Gain Control (AGC): Yes.

Back Light Compensation (BLC): Yes.

Gamma: 0.45.

White Balance (WB): Auto Tracking White Balance.

Power Requirements: 12 VDC Regulated, ~ 120 mA LEDs Off, ~ 500 mA LEDs On, via 2.1 x 5.5 mm DC socket, center pin = (+), ~ 50 cm Cable. Consider cable resistance when installing, ask us about solutions if voltage drop is a problem with existing wiring.

Mass (grams): ~ 1200.
